Social project aimed at supporting and training older people, implement in Zelwa region

A new social project aimed at supporting and training older people, implement Silvershine. A round table with the participation of the initiative coordinators, project launch partners and representatives of local authorities was held in the district center.

At the end of last year, it became known that The «Formula of memory» (the so-called project) received support from the international public Association «mutual Understanding» in the framework of the program «Meeting place: dialogue». As a result, self – help points for the elderly will appear in two districts of the Grodno region (Zelvensky and Mostovsky), and the volunteer movement will be actively developed.

The target group of the project on Silvermine will be 11 former prisoners of concentration camps. As well as more than 150 elderly people born before 1945. For them, the initiative to organize the work of the six items of self-care in remote settlements of Carolina and the local of local municipalities. Here elderly people will be measured pressure, provide first aid, etc.

In addition, the volunteers of RO BOCK (among them like old activists, and students) once a month will visit selvena of the third age at home. They will assist in the resolution of domestic issues, organize leisure activities.
