Pearl of Zelva reservoirs

“It will take time, and the inhabitants of the lake will not be able to imagine themselves without a reservoir,” said Vladimir Pavlyuchuk, then Minister of Land Reclamation and Water Management, on the day of filling the reservoir, October 1, 1983.

Some historians claim that Volsky introduced a rule according to which every peasant who did not come to the service on Sunday or the feast, undertook to give for the benefit of the church of his ox. The son of Nicholas built at the temple a hospital for the poor, as well as a library, where there were more than a thousand rare books.
